Known in some mystical traditions as Mabon, the Autumn equinox is a time where the energies of light and dark are held in balance, as the equinox is the day when the length of day and night are perfectly equal. After the equinox, the days continue to grow shorter and give way to longer nights, marking the start of the slow descent into winter. The days will continue to shorten until the winter solstice in December.

We will start our workshop by setting an intention following by Alternate Nostril Breathing, which helps us find a soothing sense of balance between the left and right hemispheres of the brain, while reclined side body stretches to restore the physical body.

In the Yoga practice, suitable for any level, planned for this workshop, we are taking a soothing approach to twists and balances. In honouring the balance of light and dark at the equinox, we integrate the left and right side bodies.

During Savassana, resting pose, I will guide you through a meditation for deep relaxation, to integrate the energy of the poses and the energies of the Autumn Equinox.

We will end our workshop by lighting a candle together to reinforce our personal intention and connect with each other.

I look forward to welcoming you to the Autumn Equinox Yoga workshop.

From my heart to your heart!

Namaste,
Trini Navarro
