Do you love the Sun, the Moon and the Stars? Then, mark in your calendar some of the celestial events happening during this magical year 2022. This year there is so much to look forward to in the universe, for example; meteor showers, solstices (my favourites), and supermoons. Those are perfect moments in which we can set intentions, let go of what is no longer serving us, and meditate.

The first full moon of the year, also known as the Wolf Moon is on the 17th. A good moment to let go of what does not serve us any longer and start “fresh” this year.

Venus will shine brightly on the 13th and Snow full moon will glow in the sky on the 16th.

We will welcome the spring equinox on March 20th Quoting Pablo Neruda: “You can cut all the flowers, but you cannot keep spring from coming”.

Pay attention to the sky on the 16thwe will see the stunning Lyrid Meteor shower on the 22nd and 23rd. Also interesting to know about the partial Solar eclipse on the 30th.

On the 5th and 6th, we have another meteor shower the Eta Aquarids, which is an above average shower, capable of producing up to 60 meteors per hour! A total lunar eclipse of the Flower Moon will be visible from North and South America, Europe, Africa, and parts of Asia.

In this magical month, we have a supermoon full moon on the 14th and my favourite event of the year the midsummer Solstice on the 21st.

Another supermoon full moon is known as the Buck Moon, Thunder Moon, Hay Moon, and Wort Moon.

And another Meteor shower the Perseid shower on the 12th and 13th usually the brightest and the most active of the year.

On the 23rd we welcome the autumn equinox in the Northern Hemisphere.

On the 25th we have a partial solar eclipse, it will be most visible in Europe, northern Africa, the Middle East, and the western parts of Asia.

On the 7th and 8th, a new moon eclipse will be visible from North and South America, Australia, Asia, and parts of Europe, and the Leonid Meteor shower on the 17th and 18th.

During the last month of the year, there are two celestial events; the Geminids meteor shower, one of the best of the year on the 13th and 14th, and we will welcome the winter solstice on the 21st.
